Wow! Shark - sweet memory at Santosa

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Before hospitalisation, Piyush was fortunate enough to visit many places in Singapore and he enjoyed every moment there. When he visited Santosa, he was very happy and very much excited to see the under water world! I had captured that sweet moment, Here is the clipping,

This article was sent by Dr. Ravi who is also sailing in the same boat as we are. Dr. Ravi’s daughter, sweet angel ”Sukriti” also parted off in the same hospital in Singapore last year.

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man
was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help
drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room’s only
window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The
men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families,
their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service,
where they had been on vacation.
Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he
would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he
could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods
where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity
and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans
played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young
lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view
of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the
man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the
picturesque scene..

One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by.

Although the other man couldn’t hear the band - he could see it. In
his mind’s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with
descriptive words.

Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only
to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died
peacefully in his sleep.. She was saddened and called the hospital
attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be
moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and
after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his
first look at the real world outside.

He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed.

It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have
compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful
things outside this window

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She said, “Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.”

Epilogue:

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own
situations.

Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.

If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that
money can’ t buy.

“Today is a gift, that’s why it is called the present.”

The origin of this letter is unknown,

Just forward it to your friends to whom you wish blessings.

Nothing will happen If u dont pass. But if u pass

ur friends will know
the value of making others happy .

Tomorrow I will be getting Kriish power!!!!

Piyush agreed to visit Singapore ONLY because he was inspired by Kriish movie in which Kriish gets super power in Singapore. This was one factor helped Piyu to a great extent to remain in a good spirit all the time.

This video was was captured one day before the transplant. That was on 29-April-07. By this time, he had undergone 8 rounds of radiation and intensified chemo. But our little heart hid all his pain in his tender heart and always tried to keep the environment as happy as possible. He always kept on smiling, kept his sense of humor high! Piyush (exactly one year back)

Monday, November 19th, 2007

Today 5 months completed without our little heart. We always pray GOD to not to put anyone on this earth in to this situation. This is unbearable. We are struggling to find a reason… Life has become so incomplete… Thank you so much for all the consoling and healing words.

Piyu’s memories are so fresh; every single moment is flashing in our eye sight. Here are the few pictures which were taken EXACTLY one year from now. That was on 19th Nov-2006. We had been to a small picnic spot where Piyu really enjoyed magic show, Go carting, boating etc. Always he loved birds. That day he got an opportunity to hold a white pigeon. He was excited! Who knew what was waiting for him in next 18 days :(

How can we accept?????

Monday, November 12th, 2007

Last entire week was Diwali season and full of lights and joy. We missed our little heart so badly….. Each and every moment is so fresh that we still are not in a position accept the fact. Last year Piyu had loads of fun during the season. He only selected Diwali lamp, he only selected crackers, he only insisted to decorate the windows with serial lights…. He enjoyed firing the crackers with all his close friends at Siddarth Nagar society.  Whole day Piyu and his friends used to stand infront of the windows and fire the toy guns! All parents used to request each others to stop the kids from the firing compitation! It was all together fun. During this seaon, we tried to stay in Pune but could not. Finally we went to Shirdi. We offered prayers for Little Adi, Little Nirali and Little Subash. Also prayed for all the parents. Let Sri Sai Baba give strength to all of us to bear the situation.

Also we prayed Lord Sai for the quick recovery of Little Avyakta and Dear Dillon who are recovering from BMT.

While returning back, we went to Piyush’s close friend Anushree’s house. Anushree’s parents are one of the closest family friends. We stayed there for two days. While going through photo album, I could find few photos of our little heart which were capture by Anushree’s father. I am posting herewith. At that time Piyu was 3.5 years old. Tears are rolling down. How can we accept this terrific fact????
